The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially opened the registration window for foreign players for the upcoming ninth edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).This main event, which is reportedly planned to take place from February 8 to March 24, 2024, promises to be an intriguing season.
The registration window is now open for foreign talents looking to join the PSL 2024. Local players’ category renewals will also be announced shortly, which is an eagerly awaited moment for cricket fans. Following the category renewals, the trade and retention window will be initiated.
The trade and retention window is vital, as it will determine the player draft’s pick order for the upcoming season. The HBL PSL 9 Player Draft has been tentatively scheduled for mid-December, right after the conclusion of the National T20 tournament. Mark your calendars for December 10, when the final of the National T20 will take place in Karachi.
In the previous season of the HBL PSL, Lahore Qalandars emerged as the champions, defeating Multan Sultans in a thrilling final at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.With this triumph, Lahore Qalandars became the first team to win two HBL PSL titles in a row.Islamabad United finished the season in third place, with Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings in fourth and fifth place, respectively, while Quetta Gladiators occupied the sixth spot.
